Dedicated to the memory of Bert
This site is a tribute to Herbert Walter Cade (Bert).
A wonderful, gentle man who is Chesham’s oldest war veteran and recipient of the Legion d’Honneur. We have peace now because people like Bert made a huge sacrifice in their lives for us, often losing their lives and we owe it to them not to take it for granted, but instead to nurture that gift and make it grow.
He is much loved, respected and will always be remembered.
